Micro-Cement / Timber & Petrified Wood
This vanity unit not only needed to not be too over powering but also worthy to house this amazing sink. To the eye this sink looks like it’s been carved out of a pretty old piece of wood but in fact this wood is older than you could believe. Petrified wood is created under ground having volcanic ash and water past through, creating this stone/crystal substance, very similar to quartz and opals. not something that happens overnight, in fact this process has taken over 266 million years.
creating this Vanity unit the aim was to high light the face of being a fossil like feature growing/or carved out of the concrete, how ever you want to see it. housing the tap controller to the side with the flowing rolls and curves leading into a lower shelf involving the oval shape of the the bath tub located to the side.
